A thorn in a bed of roses

A few days ago I noticed an optimistic statement made by of US Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides on abolition of visas for Poles. However, it turns out that the Republicans do not lose any opportunity to disrupt the Democrats. After all, the Democratic Senator from Maryland Barbara Mikulski is pushing the project at the Senate and piloting the “democratic” State Department, and the President from the same party said he would sign the relevant documents.

However, in this bed of roses there is an ugly thorn – the House of Representatives. The committee responsible for the project is the Committee on the Judiciary led by the Republican from Texas Lamar Smith who wants to… stop the procedure. And actually nobody knows why.

So this is how the domestic policy could affect the final project.
